Registration is now open for the EOEP Munis 101 Online Course
The Elected Officials Education Program (EOEP) is pleased to open registration for a 2024 offering of Munis 101. Whether you are a new or experienced municipal elected official, Munis 101 delivers the key information and strategies that you need to excel in your role such as:
- The basics of municipal governance and legislation in Alberta
- Your responsibilities as an elected official, codes of conduct, and decision-making processes
- Understanding planning and development and effective collaboration
- The elected official role in overseeing your municipality’s finances
The course will be held online over four two-hour sessions. Registrants must be able to attend each session, which will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on the following days:
- January 25, 2024
- February 1, 2024
- February 8, 2024
- February 15, 2024
While the course is primarily intended for elected officials, CAOs are welcome to take the course so they are aware of what is being covered and can support councillors to understand how it relates to their municipality’s operations.
