Environment and Climate Change Canada is seeking feedback from stakeholders
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is developing a Management Plan for the Evening Grosbeak, which is listed as Special Concern under the federal Species at Risk Act (SARA). For each species of special concern, ECCC is required to develop a management plan that includes:
- Information on the species and its habitat
- A management objective
- Identification of threats
- Recommendation for broad strategies and conservation measures to address those threats and achieve the management objective
The deadline to provide feedback on the proposed management plan is May 11, 2022. Feedback can be emailed to SARA.PNR@EC.gc.ca.
The RMA will be providing a submission to ECCC and is encouraging RMA members to share their perspectives to help inform the association’s feedback. If you are interested in providing feedback, email feedback to RMA Policy Advisor Alex Mochid at alex@RMAlberta.com by April 4, 2022.
