The Miistakis Institute is hosting a free Municipal Wetlands Data Workshop for municipal personnel in the Bow River Basin to better understand what wetland data challenges exist and how to create a strategy for collectively moving forward to secure wetlands data that is relevant for municipal planning and wetland conservation. The workshop will include presentations on the current situation, working sessions to clarify municipal needs, and will end with framing a strategy for securing municipally relevant wetlands data. This workshop is only open for municipal personnel and municipalities in the Bow River Basin, which includes:
- M.D. of Bighorn
- M.D. of Ranchland
- Foothills County
- County of Newell
- Mountain View County
- Rocky View County
- Vulcan County
- Wheatland County
The workshop will be held on February 13 at Mount Royal University in the Roderick Mah Centre for Continuous Learning in Room EC 2075 from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm.
