The survey results will help inform RMA’s work to assess government and agency progress.
RMA is revisiting the 2023 Quasi-judicial Agency Committee (QJAC) report to assess government and quasi-judicial agency progress toward better integration of rural municipal perspectives in approving provincially regulated developments under the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) and Natural Resources and Conservation Board (NRCB).
On July 10, 2026, RMA sent a survey link to all full member municipalities to gather input on member experiences in interacting with the AER, AUC and NRCB. A strong survey response is crucial to ensuring that the RMA is able to capture the broad experiences and perspectives of rural municipalities.
We strongly encourage and thank all members in advance for taking the time to complete the survey. The survey will be open until Friday, July 24, 2026. Please limit responses to one per municipality.
