On June 11, 2020, the Government of Alberta announced that Energy Efficiency Alberta (EEA) will be disbanded, with programming shifted to Emissions Reduction Alberta, the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC), and Alberta Environment and Parks. Over the next 90 days, the MCCAC will be working closely with the Government of Alberta and EEA to assume responsibility for the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP).
CEIP is a made-in-Alberta Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program that provides residential and commercial property owners with access to competitive, long-term financing to cover up 100% of their project costs with no down payment required.
RMA will update members on MCCAC progress with assuming responsibility for CEIP.
