Applications are now open for FCM’s Climate and Asset Management Network, which provides peer-learning opportunities, grant funding, and training to help municipalities better integrate climate and sustainability goals into asset management approaches. Participants in the Network will:
- Have access to funding up to $175,000 to support eligible asset management initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with other municipalities from across Canada.
- Be connected to a national network of professionals and asset management resources.
The deadline to apply is June 15, 2017.
The network is designed for municipalities that are working to address climate change and want to better integrate climate change goals with decision-making about infrastructure assets and services, such as roads, buildings, drinking water and sanitation. Network participants will benefit from funding of up to $175,000 along with workshops and knowledge-sharing activities with municipalities across Canada.
The Climate and Asset Management Network is offered through FCM’s Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program and funded by the Government of Canada.
The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre, a collaboration between AUMA, AAMDC and the Government of Alberta, also provides grants, education and expertise to support municipal energy efficiency and solar energy initiatives. Visit mccac.ca to learn more.
