An online survey allows for input into several aspects of the current local authority election process
The Government of Alberta has opened consultations on the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA). The consultation focuses on the following aspects of the LAEA:
- the length of campaign period
- nomination process
- campaign finances
- third-party advertising
- recall of municipally elected officials
Input may be submitted through the completion of an online survey, which is open until March 4, 2020. To access the survey, click here.
