Cannabis Act Review Engagement Now Open

Provide feedback on the Government of Canada’s Cannabis Act

The Government of Canada has launched engagement on the Cannabis Act, as part of a mandated three-year review process. Specific engagement questions are available in an accompanying discussion guide, which outlines the issues and evidence that has been gathered throughout the last three years. The public engagement will focus on the impacts to public health, including:

  • The health and consumption habits of youth
  • Indigenous persons and communities
  • The cultivation of cannabis plants in a dwelling-house

This review provides the RMA with an opportunity to continue to advocate on two active resolutions related to this issue: 9-21F Increasing Knowledge-Sharing Among Regulators of Cannabis Production Facilities and 3-21S Personal Cannabis Production for Medical Use.

The public engagement will close on November 21, 2022.
