The Federation of Canadian Municipalities is providing funding for initiatives that support women’s participation in local leadership
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) is continuing to foster gender parity and more diversity in municipal government through the Canadian Women in Local Leadership (CanWILL) program
. The CanWILL project includes four core objectives:
- Strengthening the capacity of women to run for elected office
- Creating a more conducive context for women leaders to thrive
- Enhancing the capacity of municipal stakeholders to address gender-based violence and harassment
- Mobilizing knowledge and sharing best practices across municipalities
