Apply for the Municipal Energy Champions Program Pilot

The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) has launched the Municipal Energy Champions Program pilot, which will help municipalities introduce and operate municipal energy management initiatives, and support them in planning and implementing energy efficiency measures and renewable energy projects to benefit their community.

The Municipal Energy Champions Program offers free person-to-person support for municipalities interested in developing a municipal energy champion. The pilot project is designed to enable small municipalities that lack internal capacity needed to introduce municipal energy management initiatives. The intent of this project is to create internal capacity to enable municipalities to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Click here to submit an application of interest. Four municipalities from across Alberta will be selected to participate.

The application deadline is December 20, 2019 at 4:00 pm.

If you have any questions regarding this unique opportunity, please contact the MCCAC directly at contact@mccac.ca or call 780.433.4431.
