Funding applications open until March 27, 2020
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) is now accepting a second round of applications for the Broadband Fund. The Broadband Fund will provide up to $750 million over a five-year period to improve access to highspeed internet for all Canadians. Eligible projects may include satellites (in satellite-dependent communities), fixed wireless infrastructure, and mobile wireless infrastructure.
Municipalities are eligible to apply for funding if they have experience deploying and operating broadband infrastructure, or if they partner with an organization that does (e.g. an Internet Service Provider). For more information and to view all of the eligibility criteria, click here.
Applications will be accepted until March 27, 2020.
