Position Statements provide a concise overview of the RMA’s positions on key policy areas.
The RMA is committed to advocating for the rural municipal perspective with government leaders, industry, and other stakeholders. To support these efforts, RMA develops and periodically updates a series of Position Statements that summarize and reflect the RMA perspective on key policy areas. These Position Statements are reviewed and approved by the RMA Board of Directors twice each year.
In early 2026, RMA updated the scope and structure of Positions Statements to better focus on current priorities for RMA, rather than to capture the full breadth of issues that RMA members face.
