Position Statements provide a concise overview of the RMA’s positions on key policy areas.
The RMA is committed to advocating for the rural municipal perspective with government leaders, industry, and other stakeholders. To support these efforts, RMA develops and periodically updates a series of Position Statements that summarize and reflect the RMA perspective on key policy areas. These Position Statements are reviewed and approved by the RMA Board of Directors twice each year.
This year, Position Statements have undergone a change to cover current priorities for RMA, rather than to capture the full breadth of issues that RMA members face. The intent of this is for the documents to become more concise and reflective of top priority items but does not remove the significance of other aspects of RMA’s work not captured within the Position Statements.
