TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 / GED or Equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a class 2 or higher wastewater collections / water distribution/
- Minimum 3 years of experience level 1 water treatment system
- Attained certificates in Level 2 Wastewater Collection, Level 2 Water distribution and Level 1 Water treatment
- Successful completion of a post-secondary program or degree in Water and Wastewater, Science, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or Hydrogeology, will be considered an asset.
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics / blueprints / manuals / engineers drawings/ approvals
- Ability to multitask / diversify and provide concise, accurate reporting on a timely basis
- Ability to communicate professionally verbally / electronically/ and in written form
- Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Ability to train / supervise staff
- Ability to operate equipment, and clean drivers abstract
- Either possess or willing to obtain Q Endorsement, and Class 3,
- Ability to install water meter devises and related equipment
- A intermediate knowledge of general mechanical practices
- Ability to forecast inventory requirements/ troubleshoot
- Ability to interpret and maintain approvals and Provincial and Federal regulatory requirements
Criminal Records check
- WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher training will be considered an asset
- Trench Safety, Confined Spaces
- TDG - Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset
- Arc Flash training will be considered an asset
- Drinking water safety plan will be considered an asset
- Good Public Relations and Conflict resolution skills
