Education & Experience
• Diploma or Certificate in Survey Technology, Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in surveying, geomatics, or municipal infrastructure construction.
• Experience with municipal road construction, drainage systems, and earthworks is considered an asset.
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, survey data collection software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Alberta’s Spatial Information System (SPIN2) is preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction specifications, legal land descriptions, and survey plans.
• Knowledge of road construction practices, grading principles, drainage systems, and municipal infrastructure.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain, perform physically demanding fieldwork, including lifting equipment up to 50lbs.
