The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Agriculture or a related field. Additional coursework or training in a related field and/or formal leadership training would be an asset.
- Three (3) years of related experience in addition to experience in a supervisory capacity. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Membership with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists.
- Pesticide Applicator’s License.
- A CCA designation would be an asset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong public relations skills and the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive situations and/or information.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint, and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programs.
- Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.
The total rewards package for this position includes:
A starting annual salary of $82,300 to $102,800 based on a 35-hour work week and the option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
