The Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 is accepting applications for the position of Manager of Public works. This is as full-time position reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with that person to achieve and maintain excellence of service to the public in accordance with the objectives and goals of Council. Key Responsibilities Include:
The successful applicant will have a solid track record of planning, organizing, overseeing, training, supporting and monitoring the daily and longer-term activities of a public works operations and maintenance functions.
The ideal person has at least five years of experience in municipal operations in an Alberta municipality. However, equivalencies in other sectors may be considered. The salary is competitive with other rural Alberta municipalities of similar size: the duties and responsibilities are consistent with municipalities having an average of 40-plus employees with seasonal variation. Some positions are unionized.
