ROLE OF THE PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Reporting to the Director of Community & Protective Services, the Planning & Development
Officer is responsible for reviewing and making decisions on development permit
applications, providing interpretations and advice on Land Use Bylaw (LUB) regulations to
both internal and external customers, for administering Athabasca County’s Land Use Bylaw,
providing planning and development expertise and advice to a variety of stakeholders, and
for participating and assisting with daily operations and initiatives.
