Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a permanent, full-time position available within the Planning & Development Services Department for a Planning & Development Coordinator. Reporting to the Director, Planning & Development Services, the Planning & Development Coordinator works in a confidential capacity providing support and administrative services to the Director, Managers, and the department. This position also acts as a liaison for Planning & Development Services to various other departments and staff within the County and provides supervision and guidance to the Planning File Clerk and Temporary Clerk positions.
A High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented with post-secondary administrative training is required.
A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of office experience and exceptional computer and web management skills are required.
Supervisory experience or formal leadership training is required.
Superior interpersonal skills in dealing effectively with the general public is required.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines with consistent heavy workloads is required.
Knowledge of planning and development processes is preferred.
Knowledge of strategic planning, basic budgeting and accounting is preferred.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Rate of Pay: $59,408 to $74,260
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week
