- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with supervisor, co-workers and the public.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude to repair and maintain lawn maintenance equipment.
- Experience in lawn care and property maintenance.
- Ability to perform medium lifting of 25 kilograms and to perform strenuous work outdoors for extended time periods.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Minimum Emergency First Aid certificate or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Defensive Driving course certificate, or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Experience with trailer hookup, cargo securement and towing.
- Experience driving a pickup on gravel roads would be considered an asset.
5 Positions Available
Hours of Work:
May 3 – May 7, 2021 Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
May 8 – August 20, 2021 Shift Schedule 4 days on*, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, 4 days off
*shift schedule start date may vary due to two alternating crews. Hours may be subject to change due to weather conditions, training etc.
