We are currently recruiting for a temporary, full-time Manager of Business Services for our Business Services department.
About this Opportunity:
The Manager of Business Services reports directly to the Director of Recreation Services. This position is responsible for overseeing the marketing of City of Leduc recreation programs, services, and facilities including Guest Services and memberships This position also ensures the overall quality of the customer experience, and while also managing advertising, sponsorship, and lease partnerships. This position supports strategic and consistent delivery of recreation services and facility management across The City of Leduc including generating increased levels of awareness and participation in health and wellness activities and increasing utilization of City recreation facilities, services, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively with service areas within the department to develop and assess comprehensive and audience-driven marketing strategies and communication programs for the Leduc Recreation Center and department initiatives
- Ensure effective and consistent human resource management within areas of responsibility including employee orientation, training, recognition, and performance management
- Examine workload requirements and ensure that appropriate resources are available with an effective organizational structure to deliver established strategies and agreed-upon service levels
- Support and liaise with a variety of community partners in the planning, promotion, and delivery of wellness opportunities including facility access initiative
- Assist in the development and implementation of a plan to promote lease, sponsorship, vending, and advertising opportunities and implement programs to support continued growth in revenues
- Develop and monitor annual operating budget, ensuring expenditures and revenues are within the approved budget scope for the department
Requirements:
You are an ideal candidate if you have the following:
- University degree in Recreation or Business Management
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in recreation administration and/or facility management, preferably in a recreation facility setting
- Supervisory experience, exhibiting proven leadership, management, coaching, and team building skills, with the ability to motivate team members
- Experience working in municipal government is considered an asset
- Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
