Join the Ministry of Transportation and Economic Corridors as an Infrastructure Technologist / Grants Administrator in Red Deer. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead the administration of key provincial infrastructure grant programs—supporting municipalities and driving projects that make a real difference across Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll collaborate with municipalities and stakeholders, provide expert guidance on programs like the Alberta Municipal Water/Wastewater Partnership (AMWWP), Water for Life (W4L), and Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program (STIP), and help ensure funding is delivered effectively and in line with provincial policies.

Strong relationship-building skills with municipal partners and stakeholders
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain the contents of technical reports to lay people
Experience coordinating grant programs or infrastructure projects
Attention to detail and ability to navigate policy frameworks
Comfort working with databases and other related software packages

Requirements

Qualifications
Required:

A related two-year technical diploma (e.g., Civil Engineering Technology diploma, or related diploma), supplemented by at least 6 years of related experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Ability to understand and explain contents of technical reports to lay people.
Negotiation, public consultation, time management and strategic management skills.
