Lethbridge County is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Are you proactive and looking to grow your career in Human Resources? Lethbridge County requires a HR Generalist who is an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment. Reporting to the HR Manager you will have the opportunity to support various aspects of HR including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, training and development, employee correspondence, disability management and health and safety. This is a 1-year term opportunity with the possibility of future extensions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Supporting the County’s recruitment process with job postings, screening applicants and preparing for interviews and onboarding.
Maintaining trends and analytics to identify savings and efficiencies in disability management program.
Preparing letters, reviewing information, and reporting as requested by the HR Manager.
Reviewing, updating, and maintaining job descriptions.
Supporting staff training on policies and directives and ensure tracking as required.
A strong solution focus and comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
Updating and creating physical demand analysis for County positions.
Assisting in the development of programs, policies, and directives to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the County.
Participating on various internal committees related to employee wellness and staff appreciation.
Various other duties included in the job description or as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have completed post secondary education in Human Resources supported by two years of related work experience. You will have strong organization skills, written and verbal English skills, a clean criminal background check, a Class 5 license in good standing and additional courses or training related to HR, local government, and safety.
