Lacombe County has a great opportunity for a Human Resources professional to join our team! We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, personable and collaborative to work on a variety of projects that contribute to attracting talented employees and maintaining our great work culture and environment at Lacombe County.
Reporting to, and in collaboration with, the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will carry out the administration of various day-to-day operations of the human resources duties. This position works closely with various levels of employees throughout the organization; the ability to build and maintain relationships is instrumental.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist with the recruitment process: create job postings, advertise, screen applications, participate in interviews, create employment agreements, etc.;
Provide HR support as needed for research, investigation, project support and administration;
Perform new hire orientations;
Enter data, update the HRIS system and process general correspondence, reports, forms, etc.;
Respond to inquiries (via telephone, e-mail or in person) from the general public and employees;
Assist with administration of employee benefit programs (pension, group benefits, health spending account, etc.).
Completion of a degree in a Human Resources program or other relevant discipline, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience;
Working towards your CPHR designation is an asset;
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in an administrative capacity is required;
Demonstrated knowledge of Human Rights legislation, Employment Standards legislation, and Occupational Health and Safety legislation;
Proven organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities;
Proficiency in various Microsoft applications and the ability to learn new computer programs.
