Athabasca County is presently accepting applications for a full time, permanent Grader Operator position for the Richmond Park / Pleasant View area.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Maintain roads and transportation systems in order to ensure safe roadways within the County, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
Maintain and submit daily time sheets as well as maps, and logs of roads graded for supervisor’s approval on a regular basis.
Maintain a record of fuel, blades, and types of blades, daily hours, equipment hours and kilometers on the daily timesheets.
Review all culverts in the spring and fall to ensure no damage or obstructions are in place.
Report all damaged or missing roadway signage to PW Maintenance Foreman.
The current hourly range for this position is $31.53 - $36.89. Athabasca County offers an attractive benefit package and contributes to the Local Authorities Pension Plan.
