QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a position of responsibility and leadership in the Fire Service.
- Grade Twelve (12) or equivalent.
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR
- Must hold a Class 3 drivers with Q endorsement and provide a drivers abstract
- NFPA 1001 Level 1 & 2
- NFPA 1002 Aerial Operations
- NFPA 470 Awareness & Operations
- Alberta WUI Training WUI-M
- Alberta WUI Training WUI-B & WUI-L – considered an asset
- Hazmat Technician – considered an asset
- EMR or PCP – considered an asset
- Rope/Confined Space/Swift Water Technician – considered an asset
- Officer/Leadership Training – preferred
- ICS 100 & 200
- Safety Codes Officer (Fire) Group A (Group B1 / Group C1 considered an asset)

- Working knowledge of: Municipal Government Act, The Alberta Fire Code, The Alberta Building Code, The Alberta Safety Codes Act, and the Alberta emergency Management Act.
