Reporting to the Manager, Budget and Financial Planning, the Budget and Financial Planning Technician will provide technical, administrative, and coordination support to the Budget and Financial Planning business unit.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field. A Local Government Certificate is considered an asset. A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a finance, budgeting, business administration, or a related environment is required. Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and coordinating business processes is an asset. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of process documentation, workflow design, records and information management, privacy, and confidentiality practices. The incumbent will demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, and have the ability to learn, assess, and apply new technology. Advanced proficiency in M365 including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as Adobe Acrobat/Foxit is crucial for this position. Knowledge of financial, budgeting, asset management, or other business systems is considered an asset. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are imperative to establish working relationships with employees, leadership, and external stakeholders.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday.
