Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent leadership and team building skills, with proven ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality and cooperation
- Ability to work independently on a team, and in a variety of environments
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Subject matter expertise in Visual Arts and/or Cultural Programming
- Proficient knowledge of working with ceramics, glass and arts-based media is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, and scheduling software, and knowledge of safe work practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent customer service and public relation abilities
- The ability to meet various deadlines in a constantly changing service environment
- Minimum of a diploma (degree preferred) in Visual Arts or related field, with a minimum of one year of related experience
- One year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Experience working within Arts and Culture in a teaching, volunteering, or coaching role considered an asset
- Web-based scheduling experience is an asset
- HIGH FIVE® principles of healthy child development is an asset
Conditions of Employment
- Submission of a Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
- This position is part-time, 25 hours per week. Hours are scheduled and performed Tuesday – Friday, or Monday – Friday (negotiable).
- Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties, lift 20lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR certification
