Parkland County has a permanent, part-time position available within Parks, Recreation & Culture Services for an Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Director, Community Services, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating Parkland County cemeteries and sports fields, providing tier two customer service support on behalf of the department, providing administrative support for department projects, handling deposits and cheque requests, creating purchase orders, processing invoices, updating the department’s website pages and the online community hall directory.
High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented with post-secondary administrative training.
A minimum two years of progressively responsible office experience.
Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and content management systems as well as experience in digital or print design.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills along with excellent organization, research and writing skills.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
