Key Responsibilities Include:
Parkland County has a permanent, full-time position available in the Agricultural Services Department for an Administrative Assistant. Under the general supervision of the Director, Agricultural Services, the Administrative Assistant provides support for the Weed Inspection, Land Management, Pest Control and Community Sustainability programs, and provides general administrative support to the Agricultural Services Department, Agricultural Service Board Committee and Agricultural and Rural Life Advisory Committee. Specific duties include word processing, handling public inquiries and preparing invoices, purchase orders and advertising.
High school Diploma supplemented by post-secondary administrative assistant training or equivalent. Agriculture education would be considered an asset.
A minimum of two (2) years’ administrative assistant experience.
Strong word processing and organizational skills along with the ability to remain calm when dealing with the public.
Experience in agriculture and rural living is required.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Rate of Pay: $40,172 - $50,215 per annum
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day (35 hours/week)
