Parkland County has a permanent, full-time position available within the Chief Financial Office for an Accounting Coordinator-Financial Reporting. Reporting to the Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting, the Accounting Coordinator – Financial Reporting is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of financial services including assisting with the timely and accurate financial reporting including year-end and audit as well as bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory activities. The Accounting Coordinator – Financial Reporting will provide collaborative financial support to County departments.

Post-Secondary Diploma in Accounting is required. Advanced Accounting Certificate is an asset.
A minimum of two to four (2-4) years of general accounting experience, preferably in the public sector, is required.
Good analytical and attention to detail and numerical accuracy skills is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including in-depth knowledge of Excel is required. Must be adept in learning financial software.
Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
