Summary

Comp #321005 Maintenance Road crews – grader operators/brush cutters/sign crew staff and gravel check crews – no camp
Comp #321505 Construction Road crews – loader/scraper operators/camp attendants/cooks/flagging and packer crew members – majority are camp based

• These positions will be working outside completing fieldwork in rural-remote areas.
• Availability to work from April/May through September/October.

Key Responsibilities

Grader Beat Operators, Brush Cutter and Mower Crew Operators
- Operation of road maintenance equipment for tasks such as grading, weed and brush control
Gravel Crew Operators-Loader/Checker/Water Haul Truck Drivers (Class 3 Drivers Licence)
- Gravel loading, delivery and spreading
Sign Crew Drivers/Operators
- Repairing, replacing and installing signs
Construction Crew Operators (grader/scraper/dozer)
GBC/Chip Crew Operators (spreader operators/helpers, gravel checkers/spotters, grader operators)
Bridge and Patch Crew Operators (no camp)
Support Crew Operators (flag persons/packers/sweepers/rakers/reclamation)
Truck Drivers (water/gravel/oil)
Camp Attendants and Camp Cooks

Requirements

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED) – combination of experience/education will be considered
Prior road maintenance and/or construction experience is an asset
Physical capabilities to perform job duties – required lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
Working knowledge in the care and use of tools and equipment common to these positions
Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion and use good judgement
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence

Preference may be given to candidates possessing:

Class 3 AB Drivers Licence – Air Endorsement
Class 1 Drivers Licence

These positions will be working outside completing fieldwork in rural-remote areas.
