Qualifications & Competencies
– High School diploma or equivalent.
– Class 3 Driver’s License with Q endorsement/Airbrakes is required.
– Preference will be given to applicants who have minimum 2 years’ experience, preferably in a Municipal or other government setting.
– Equipment operator training, specific training as required, i.e. Playground Maintenance, Building Maintenance, etc.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
– ARFP certificates for Arena Operator II and Parks & Sportsfield Operator II are considered an asset.
– Satisfactory annual Driver’s Abstract.
– Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
More Details
Hours of work are rotating shifts of 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. The hourly wage for this position is $34.78 per hour.
This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
