Key Responsibilities

The Application Analyst position is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.

Reporting to the IST Manager, the Application Analyst is responsible for:

Technical and advisory support to all City Departments.
Installing new hardware and software systems.
Prioritizing and executing technical support for Help Desk calls initiated from City Departments.
Assisting users with training and applications.
Support for all network infrastructure and servers, as well as assisting with and providing support for the installation, modification, and maintenance of all virtualized system environments.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

Computer Repair and/or Networking, certifications in Comptia A+, Network A+, MCSE and Microsoft applications.
Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and SQL.
Preference will be given to applicants who have two or more years’ experience.
Previous experience with a Municipality is considered an asset.
Ability to manage strict timelines for various projects.
A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and satisfactory annual Driver’s Abstract.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

More Details

The hours of work for this position are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with on-call rotation and an opportunity for overtime.

This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
