Key Responsibilities

The Application Analyst position is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.

Reporting to the IST Manager, the Application Analyst is responsible for:

  • Technical and advisory support to all City Departments.
  • Installing new hardware and software systems.
  • Prioritizing and executing technical support for Help Desk calls initiated from City Departments.
  • Assisting users with training and applications.
  • Support for all network infrastructure and servers, as well as assisting with and providing support for the installation, modification, and maintenance of all virtualized system environments.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Computer Repair and/or Networking, certifications in Comptia A+, Network A+, MCSE and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and SQL.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have two or more years’ experience.
  • Previous experience with a Municipality is considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage strict timelines for various projects.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and satisfactory annual Driver’s Abstract.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

More Details

The hours of work for this position are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with on-call rotation and an opportunity for overtime.
This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
