Summary

We are looking for a professional, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our Property Administration team. The Lease Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administration and processing of land disposition transactions and property management activities within the Special Areas. This role coordinates and reviews correspondence, agreements, applications, and supporting documentation related to assignments, amendments, conditional surrenders, renewals, and cancellations of dispositions, while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures. The incumbent provides technical expertise in the administration of mineral surface lease and pipeline applications, and maintains accurate land administration, financial, and records management information. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the effective management of public land and property interests while supporting a collaborative and service-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer various leases such as agricultural, miscellaneous, oil and gas dispositions and permits, including the registration of agreements, assignments, amendments, renewals, cancellations, sublets, and related documentation.
• Supervise oil and gas disposition documentation and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, including the Special Areas Act, Public Lands Act, and Special Areas Disposition Regulation.
• Issue Letters of Authority and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate financial administration of land dispositions, including rental levies, payment verification, and ledger controls for MSLs, PLAs, RoEs, easements, and related interests

Requirements

• Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent; supplemented by post-secondary education or training in land administration, legal administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in land administration, land management, legal administration or a similar administrative environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Laserfiche, SharePoint and OneDrive are an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong public relations abilities. Highly organized, with attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to take initiative.
