Experience
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in parks, arenas, recreation, or facilities operations, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Experience with asset maintenance, lifecycle planning, and capital project coordination.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple facility types such as arenas, campgrounds, parks, trails, and water access sites.
- Refrigeration & HVAC Certification is an asset.
- Experience working within a municipal or public-sector environment, including understanding of governance, Council priorities, and public accountability.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Education
- Arena Level 1 and 2 Certification is a requirement.
- Diploma or degree in Parks and Recreation Management, Facility Management, Trade Diploma, Business Administration, Trade related Field.
What we Offer
The County of Wetaskiwin offers a competitive municipal compensation package for our Parks & Recreation Supervisor position including:
- Full time, permanent position based on a 40-hour work week, schedule is determined to accommodate facility requirements.
- Annual Salary Range: $65,560 – 80,636. Qualifications and experience are used for grid placement.
