The Job
The Town of Edson is seeking a Temporary, Full-Time Administrative Assistant–Recreation to support operations at the Edson & District Leisure Centre. This role provides high-level administrative coordination that supports the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department. The position contributes to the smooth delivery of day-to-day administrative functions, supports communications and financial processes, coordinates meetings and record-keeping, and helps ensure consistent, responsive service. The role supports the Recreation Manager, including the YCE project and assisting with board and committee meeting coordination. This temporary position will run until November 30, 2026, or until the return of the incumbent, with the possibility of extension.

The ideal candidate is a reliable and adaptable team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. You are organized, professional, and able to manage competing priorities with confidence. Strong communication, customer service, and administrative skills are essential. You bring attention to detail, sound judgment, and a proactive approach, along with a willingness to support a variety of tasks and initiatives.

What do we offer?
Compensation
The wage range for this position is $29.54 to $35.59, per hour as per the terms of the CUPE Collective Agreement.
