Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma with several years of related experience in a policing or judicial environment
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a policing, legal, or judicial environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of courtroom procedures and requirements
- Experience with police records management systems (e.g., PROS, JOIN, CPIC, CJIM, CREF, APIS, TEAM, and E&RIII)
- Strong understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada and applicable federal and provincial legislation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, tight deadlines, and exposure to sensitive and potentially distressing material
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills in complex situations
- CPIC certification and PROS records management certification are assets
Conditions of Employment:
- Ability to obtain and maintain RCMP Reliability Enhanced Security Clearance
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
