Title: Member Outreach Representative
Department: Canoe Procurement
Reports To: Manager of Business Development

Purpose

The Member Outreach Representative (MOR) position is responsible for driving business growth, through member engagement, for Canoe Procurement Group of Canada. Working in tandem with the Member Relations team, the MOR uncovers leads and opportunities by contacting perspective and existing members. Our MOR team provides our members with a strong understanding of how Canoe works, the benefits to our members, procurement assistance and education on our trade compliant programs.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

The successful candidate must reside in either Alberta or British Columbia. Candidates living in the Edmonton region are expected to work at the RMA Nisku offices, not remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Activities
  • Member engagement as directed by the Manager of Business Development
  • Consistent outreach to assigned and prospective members, helping them understand how to use Canoe programs effectively to bring value and efficiency to their operations
  • Working closely with our partner associations to add value to their member base
  • Promoting supplier offerings as released by our over 500+ supplier partners across Canada
  • Manage all leads, opportunities and member contact in CRM
  • Prepare and present program usage reports to our membership, focusing on increased program adoption for the benefit of all parties.
  • Member outreach/engagement for this role is done through Teams, email and phone, not in person. Trade show participation with Territory Managers is required on occasion within the MOR’s respective regions.
  • Develop strong working relationships with our Supplier Development team and our valued suppliers, assisting with promotion of all new program opportunities as released.
  • Understanding of program administrative fees and requirements
  • Assist in account creation and member updating as required
  • Assist accounting in reconciling accounts if required

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, accounting or a related discipline or applicable work experience and training.
  • Experience working in a professional sales environment.
  • High proficiency in CRM, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
  • Excellent written, oral, and listening communication skills, and exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • Personable and able to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Aptitude for dealing with members and suppliers.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, and self-directed.
  • Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment while able to quickly analyze problems to reach a conclusion.
  • Expects the highest quality performance from self and others.
  • Able to and enjoy working in a team environment including keeping others appropriately informed.
  • Proficiency in data entry

Works in concert with other Member Outreach Representatives, Territory Managers and Supplier Development Managers to provide exceptional service for both our members and approved suppliers.
