• Support the administration of the Agricultural Services Board Act, the Weed Control Act, the Agricultural Pest Act, and the Soil Conservation Act, as well as assisting as needed with the Animal Health Act.
• Maintain all buildings and county facilities in a neat and tidy manner as directed by the Manager, Agriculture Services.
• Perform vehicle pre-trips, work orders, and inspections (including safety inspections on property, buildings, and equipment) when required.
• Carryout vegetation management for. control of brush and noxious weeds on County properties and road right-of-ways.
• Maintain appropriate records for all required operations.
• Perform weed inspections on lands within Woodlands County boundaries and landowner follow up with professionalism.
• Respond to farm calls upon request for weed, insect, and beaver flood control.
• Perform beaver flood control and blasting within safety guidelines.
• Work with appropriate government departments for effective and environmental control of beaver flood control.
• Ordering, transport, storage, and documentation of industrial explosives.
• Carryout and complete roadside seeding program per County standards as required.
• Maintain and repair of Agriculture Services Board equipment.
• Operate equipment within the fleet when required, and at times may be required to assist Area Supervisors with other work.
• Ensure that any service requests from residents are brought to the attention of the Manager, Agriculture Services.
• Foster positive and professional relationships with ratepayers, fellow staff members, County Council, and all other related third parties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager, Agriculture Services, Director,
Infrastructure Services, and/or Fort Assiniboine Area Supervisor.
