Who you are?
You are a highly skilled technician with a strong sense of accountability and the independent judgment required to manage complex traffic systems. You bring:
- A two-year Civil or Electrical Engineering Diploma or a Journeyman Electrician designation (preferred).
- International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Field Technician II Certification.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a traffic control system maintenance environment.
- Deep knowledge of MUTCD Manual standards, Work Zone Safety, and Traffic Certification.
- Strong technical proficiency in utilizing asset management software (such as CityWorks) and managing stock inventories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with contractors, internal departments, and the public.
- The physical and mental stamina to work in inclement weather, operate bucket trucks, handle equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license (preferably with a Q endorsement) and the ability to work at heights and within active traffic intersections safely.
