The Capital Project Manager I provides management and supervision of transportation and drainage capital rehabilitation construction projects up to $5M for the Transportation Engineering and Operations department. This includes developing project plans, communication & coordination with project partners, design, construction, schedule, quality assurance, budget, cost control, and resolving conflicts or unforeseen events. This role ensures the project is compliant with Strathcona County’s Capital Project Business Case, Design and Construction Standards, engineering best practices, and both provincial and federal regulations. Success in this role depends on identifying unforeseen issues and knowing when to adjust scope, seek expertise, or amend budgets.
