RMA requests member input to ensure accurate tracking of unpaid taxes.
RMA’s annual unpaid oil and gas tax survey is now open. The survey provides essential, member‑driven data that strengthens RMA’s advocacy on the ongoing issue of unpaid oil and gas property taxes and helps illustrate the real financial impacts facing rural municipalities.
Unpaid taxes continue to create significant challenges for many members, and strong participation in this survey ensures RMA can accurately track the issue and present credible information to government and industry.
The survey was distributed to members on January 9 and will close on February 13.
Member participation is essential to RMA’s advocacy, and the near‑100% response rates in past surveys have produced a comprehensive and credible picture of the unpaid tax burden facing rural municipalities. RMA thanks members in advance for your continued support and for taking the time to complete the survey.
If your municipality did not receive the survey, or if you have questions about completing it, please contact Jared Shaigec, RMA Policy Advisor.
