RMA’s Role and Partnership
RMA has worked closely with APRA and the Ag Plastics Recycling Group for many years to ensure rural priorities are reflected in recycling initiatives. Since 2019, RMA has actively supported APRA’s efforts on EPR, reducing financial burdens on municipalities and improving recycling efficiency. Rural municipalities play a key role by hosting collection sites and engaging producers, helping recycling programs reach Alberta’s rural regions and supporting a circular economy that benefits local communities.
