• Post-secondary diploma in a law enforcement related field, or a Grade 12 diploma supplemented with a minimum of 3 years of related experience as a Level 1 CPO. Demonstrated traffic enforcement experience is required. CVSA inspection certification and prior experience delivering community and/or school based programs are strong assets.
• Must meet all Justice and Solicitor General Peace Officer appointment requirements, including successful completion of an approved physical abilities test (i.e. P.A.R.E.). An acceptable Criminal Record Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Valid and current First Aid and CPR certifications. Must possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license. Current Radar/Laser certification and EVOC training are assets. Must have completed, or be willing to complete, the Motor Transport Weights & Measures course.
