Purpose of the position

The position will primarily:

  • Manage projects related to Economic Development.
  • Develop and implement programs related to business retention, expansion, and attraction within
    the County.
  • Work closely with industry support organizations.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Come to us with a related degree and several years of senior level experience as well as demonstrated passion to continue to develop professionally in your field.
  • Have proficient knowledge of economic development theories and practices.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, public relations, conflict management, judgement,analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Be proficient in working with computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Be willing to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Class 5 Driver’s Abstract.

Position details:

  • Salary range: Currently under review. Negotiable.
  • Permanent full-time position
  • On site location: Lac La Biche, Alberta
  • Hours of Work:  Based on 1820 hours annually with a 7 hour workday, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required in the evenings or weekends for emergency duties or special projects.
