The qualifications for this position include a High School diploma, Alberta Environment Certifications in Level II Water Treatment, Level III Water Distribution, Level II Wastewater Collection, and Level I Wastewater Treatment. A current Class 3 Operator’s license with Q endorsement is preferred. Standard First Aid, CPR, Confined Space Entry, and H2S, certifications are required. The incumbent must have the ability to wear SCBA and lift 25 kilograms on a daily basis. The position also requires that the incumbent is well versed with SCADA system operations. The Water Treatment Plant Foreman will have strong computer knowledge, as well as strong time management, communication and organizational skills. This position calls for an experienced leader with knowledge of applicable maintenance and management theories, practices and trends in an operations environment, for the environment and Water/Wastewater-related programs. Preference will be given to applicants who have minimum 5-8 years’ experience directly related to the operation and maintenance of a Water Treatment Plant facility.
