Due to impending retirements, the City of Camrose is seeking experienced energetic and reliable operators for full-time permanent positions in the utilities section of the Public Works department. Reporting to the Manager of Utilities, these positions will be involved in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the City’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems and facilities. Water distribution and wastewater collection will be the primary areas of discipline with the ability to learn water and wastewater treatment systems. These are unionized positions under CUPE Local 1425 and inclusive of a trial period as per the Article 12.05 of the Collective Agreement.
HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Shift work, on-call and overtime will also be necessary to address operational requirements.
HOURLY WAGE: The starting base hourly wage for this position will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Base hourly wage will be determined in accordance with CUPE 1425 Collective Agreement, plus any additional premium pay as outlined in the collective agreement.
