The Municipal District of Foothills No. 31 encompasses a diverse rural landscape covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in the foothills of southern Alberta. The M.D. of Foothills is inviting applications for a permanent full-time Utilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include:
This position is responsible for overseeing the personnel management and operational direction of the M.D.’s Utilities group including the operations of the Sheep River Regional Utilities Corporation (SRRUC). This position will also develop and implement initiatives for short term service delivery, oversee the activities of staff and contracted services and have the knowledge to update and develop department policies and procedures.
To be successful in this position, the individual will possess experience and a good understanding of water and wastewater systems and have a Level II in Water Distribution, Water Treatment and Waste Water Collection. You will also possess proven management, coaching, supervising and team building skills as well as effective interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, Council and the general public.
