- A minimum of grade 12 education or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of related experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience;
- Certificate in Level II Water Distribution or ability to obtain the certification;
- Certificate in Level II Waste Water Collections or ability to obtain the certification;
- Extensive knowledge or water and sewer systems, considered an asset;
- Standard First Aid and WHMIS certification;
- A valid Class 3 Alberta Operator’s License with Air Brakes Endorsement (Q);
- Courses in leadership considered an asset;
- Physical ability and dexterity to perform a variety of manual tasks (heavy lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and climbing); work is performed with exposure to outdoor elements;
- Experience in operating various power and hand tools, and various heavy equipment;
- Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, with the ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing are essential;
- Good working knowledge and use of various software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel;
- Required to participate in a 24 hour On-Call roster schedule
